Improve diagnostic services
Consolidate all diagnostic investigations and services plus learning in a one-stop unit.
Provide specialised care and to accommodate patients with physical disabilities. St. Francis Nsambya Hospital's diagnostic facilities are housed in very old and poorly planned scattered buildings which is inconvenient to both patients and staff.
Constructing and equipping the diagnostic centre as a one-stop unit is timely and fitting as we approach 100 years in service.
While we acknowledge the efforts made in the past and present, the way health care is delivered in modern society is continuously changing.
Our current facilities for diagnostic services are extremely inadequate in terms of quality and quantity.
The equipment is scattered in different units of the hospital making it had for weak and vulnerable patients to access them.
Current equipment and the space allow minimum provision of specialised care and quality service.
The centre will benefit the staff as they will learn effective ways to handle new technology and difficult cases. Other Health care providers in the city and upcountry will benefit by way of usage, consultation and exchange of ideas that would help build capacity in diagnostic investigations.
The site has been identified. The architects have embarked on relevant initial planning/implementation stages. They have estimated the cost to amount of US$789,874.
Please Donate.
The Board of Governors and Hospital Management extend an earnest appeal to people of goodwill and well wishers to assist us in building and equipping this facility. Your offer will long be remembered and appreciated by those present and those who will come after. Your name will be inscribed on the hospital’s family tree of donors.
Thanking you in anticipation, I remain
